Artist Bio
Cesar was born in Lima, Peru and arrived in Australia in 1979. After studies in Architectural Drafting, Industrial Design and Gold and Silversmithing, ANU School of Art, he co-founded Metalab in 2005 to promote national and international contemporary jewellery, object art and design. In 2008, Cesar and Nina established the retail gallery, COTA (Courtesy of The Artist) to further promote contemporary studio jewellery and objects. As well as directing Metalab, Cesar maintains an active and diverse practice.
