"This highly symbolic jewellery of silver and gold makes the connection between the mechanical and the metaphysical. The intricate designs are born from a love of geometry and the cosmic measuring devices of the Renaissance. These apparatus' called horograms were ornately decorated mechanisms used to measure and explore the universe.
The techniques used in the manufacture of this jewellery are much the same as that of the objects that inspired them; marking out silver and gold sheet, centre punching points of axis, filigree saw piercing to highlight parts of the design whilst leaving other parts to reveal the working beneath.
The design of each piece develops and grows freely from its core using special numbers and geometry to ensure its uniqueness."
