“My current works are studies of birds’ feet. They are rendered from recycled Glomesh bags and reference a collection of specimens housed at the Australian Museum. As a material to work with, Glomesh offers an endless construction pattern which consists of two simple pieces. These can be undone and redone to create a variety of formations. The material contrasts and transforms what is commonly perceived as the more grotesque feature of a bird.”
