Artist Bio
Nina Ellis completed a diploma in Product Design, NMIT TAFE, 2000. She then completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Gold and Silversmithing), RMIT University, 2003. Nina has established collections in galleries throughout Australia and in New Zealand and has participated in numerous group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. She was awarded the Emerging Artist Initiative Mentorship Grant, Craft Victoria, 2005. Her first solo exhibition, Welcome to Gemrock, was held at Pieces of Eight Gallery, 2006. She is currently teaching jewellery design at Box Hill TAFE. Nina is one of the founding members of the Pieces of Eight workshop.
