The pieces draw inspiration from delicate patterns on moth wings. Each moth has a highly evolved and unique pattern designed to attract a partner and intimidate its predators. Each work plays with symmetry and has a unique arrangement of shapes and colour. Pieces capture the shimmer quality of moth wings through finely scribed lines and hand drawn marks. The patterns seek comparisons with other objects too - holographic paper, kitchenware and costume jewellery.
