"Light Pods explore the idea of looking into the atomic and subatomic world, to illuminate philosophical insights into the self and our connection to the universe.

When worn, Light Pods collect light. Hand blown, sand blasted glass captures the highly reflective dichroic glass back component, (a glass that has the property of having more than one colour), meaning that from day to night, the pods intensify in glow and change colour constantly. The unique shape and form is a result of allowing hot glass to fall off centre, to form a more organic abstract shape."


Artist Bio
Jasmine Targett completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons- Glass), Monash University, 2008. In the same year, she won the Latrobe Regional Gallery Contemporary Acquisitive Art Prize, Melbourne. In 2010 she studied Silversmithing, NMIT TAFE and is currently completing her Masters of Fine Art, (Glass), Monash University.
