Pieces of Eight

Artists | Meredith Turnbull
"Construction Series is inspired by Australian artist Howard Taylor's (1918-2001) sculptural installation titled Tree forms from 1971. It continues my interest in structural and form-based work by incorporating materials used for model making and sculpture, including dowel and balsa into wearable pieces. This series also explores shape and colour through painted facets and surfaces. The hand-painting process and sculptural focus are signature elements within my jewellery practice."
