    Djurdjica Kesic
In the series 'Transformations' I was interested in exploring changes and shifts of form, from one piece to another and spanning the whole body of work. Pieces that start as the humblest and in the simplest forms transition into a range of formations where not one is the same. An element of change also occurs through a gradual and idiosyncratic way through wear. So the shift and change continues with the wearer.

Djurdjica Kesic has completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Interior Design at RMIT University in 1999 and has taught there for several years. A strong drive to create tangible objects has seen her develop a passion for jewellery and in 2007 she completed an Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology and Metalsmithing (Jewellery) at Box Hill Institute. The same year Djurdjica was selected for the Filippo Raphael Fresh! Award at Craft Victoria where she was a finalist. Her solo exhibition 'Nomad' was presented at Pieces of Eight Gallery in 2009 and travelled to Metalab Gallery in Sydney in 2010. Her solo exhibition ‘Meanders’ was held at Gaffa Gallery, Sydney in 2013. Some selected group exhibitions include 'Wood' Velvet da Vinci Gallery, San Francisco, 2012 and 'Breathe Into' COTA Gallery, Sydney and Jam Factory, Adelaide, 2013. Djurdjica continues to exhibit her work in Australia and internationally.
