Action, open eyes, strange minds and isolation occur while living in a city in the world nowadays – it is unavoidable. People even make jewellery about it.
Teresa Lane makes unusual and sometimes narrative jewellery using an abstract and figurative language. Her current themes include wood, houses, birds, stones, legs, hands, cats and steel. Her jewellery has been exhibited internationally, including a recent travelling exhibition Prince Charming and the Palace of Happiness in collaboration with Tabea Reulecke and Maarja Niinemägi presented in Germany, Poland, Thailand and Australia. After completing her studies at RMIT in 2006, Teresa has studied and made artist residencies in Germany and Estonia and is currently based in Barcelona.
