Pieces of Eight Gallery recently hosted a beautiful and memorable evening to celebrate its remarkable 20-year milestone in contemporary jewellery and object design. Our founder Melanie Katsalidis and our entire team were honoured to welcome the vibrant community that has contributed to its success, including artists, clients, staff, and collaborators.
The event, captured beautifully in the accompanying images, was a warm testament to the relationships and creative vision that have defined the Gallery since its inception in 2005.
Gathering the Community
The celebration provided a moment to pause and reflect on two decades of dedication to design excellence. A central message of the night was one of deep gratitude to the people who form the backbone of the Pieces of Eight ethos:
- Our Artists: The Gallery extends heartfelt thanks to the extraordinary cohort of artists, past and present. Their immense talent and commitment to craftsmanship are the essence of the Gallery, and it was a privilege to celebrate this milestone alongside them.
- Our Clients: To the collectors and clients, from those commissioning bespoke pieces to those who make regular visits, your enduring trust and passion for exceptional design and craftsmanship fuel our operation. Thank you for being such a passionate and supportive community.
- Our Team: We thank our dedicated team, whose professionalism and attention to detail ensure the Gallery maintains its high standards.
The atmosphere on the night joyously acknowledged this significant achievement, and the shared passion and mutual support essential to our success.
Reflecting on a Rich Legacy
In the twenty years since its founding, Pieces of Eight has been privileged to champion nearly 200 artists across almost 80 curated exhibitions, solidifying its position as a key voice in the Australian design landscape. The evening reaffirmed the commitment to championing creativity, fostering new talent and ensuring longevity in an increasingly trend-driven world.
