Seb Brown

Experimentation is my process; each shape influencing the next. A constant and ever evolving enquiry into form and texture inspired by the material I am working with. Referencing traditional jewellery symbolism and techniques, my work questions notions of beauty, preciousness and ownership.

Self-taught jeweller Seb Brown currently undertakes a studio-based practice from Melbourne, and has been running his eponymous jewellery label since 2010. Originally trained in Communication Design, Brown’s practice incorporates a variety of mediums, all of which inspire and influence his collections. His work demonstrates an evolving collection of shapes and words which reference the often unnoticed nuances of daily life.

Seb has participated in numerous exhibitions at Pieces of Eight since his representation began in 2014.
