Description
La Grande Fête called for a celebration of the feast — and my answer arrived, as the best ones do, over breakfast. A fried egg on toast: humble, perfect, quietly joyful. Translated into metal and stone, the concept became something else entirely. A keshi pearl, chosen for its wild, undulating surface, holds all the organic irregularity of an egg white caught mid-spread. At its centre, a golden sapphire, vivid and warm, sits inlaid like a yolk in morning light. A hand-textured gold basket pulls it together, rough edged and grounded, the toast beneath it all.
Delicate in its details, unexpected in its inspiration, Sunny Side is a reminder that celebration doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it’s already on the table.
